(Unknown photo source)This is not my laundry room. Not even close. My laundry room couln't even live in the same neighborhood as this laundry room.
Unfortunately, this is my laundry room. When we moved in 15 months ago, it was the last unfinished area, and at the time, the least important.
No one ever even sees the laundry room. Right? So what if there is a moving blanket on the floor being used as a rug. (I can't believe I am posting these pictures.)
(Photo from Sarah's House)Several weeks ago, I got the green light from Bryan to begin the laundry room renovation. I started gathering inspiration photos, (like this one from the TV show "Sarah's House"). But then we got sidetracked by another project. (See the "news" section at the bottom of this post).
(Photo HGTV.com)Since I won't be able to start my laundry project for a little while longer, I will just have to keep stockpiling inspiration photos. The HGTV Dream Homes always have great laundry areas.

I love this flirty little sink skirt.

I also love this sunny wallpaper.

This laundry room was posted on Brooke Gianetti's Velvet & Linen blog back in 2009, but it still takes my breath away.

This beautiful laundry/mud room is from the blogger "A Room for Everyone".
And now for the news! We are under contract to purchase new renovation project for
Yellow Dog Design. The closing date is scheduled for March 15th, so as soon as I can get in there I will take lots and lots of before photos.
Have a great Wednesday, and get lots of laundry done!
The Laundry Room "Before" with its concrete floors, unfinished walls, and ugly exposed pipes and wires everywhere.
The Laundry Room "After" is much more serene, and a much more appealing place to do laundry. New tile floors, drywall, paint, and a few accessories complete the renovation.
