Good Bye House

I thought I should report that we have sold our fixer-upper, and bought a house in a new neighborhood.  The house went through a MASSIVE renovation, turning it from a 1970's Split Level, into a charming Craftsman Cottage.  We LOVED the house by the time we were done with the renovation, and have always loved the neighborhood, so it was definitely a tough decision to sell.  In the end, it just seemed like the right time to make the move.  We have been in the new house a few months, and are working on a lot of projects here too, so as things take shape, I will try to post the progress.  In the mean time, here are some pictures of the Split Level - turned Cottage, right before we said goodbye last fall.

School Bells Ring

So because of the way the district planned the calendar this year, our summer really actually is shorter than usual, but honestly, it feels like we didn't have a summer break at all!  I don't even feel out of practice for making lunches, tripping over backpacks, and pushing aside the papers that start piling up on my kitchen counter.

A little first morning hot breakfast!

 And Lucy in spongy rollers....

It is more quiet during the day, and the past two days I have already found it MUCH easier to get my work done.  So I guess school starting isn't all bad.  My two elementary-ers looked adorable on our walk to the "First Day Flag Ceremony".

And I am SOOOO proud of Cameron.  He looks great in his new Vice President Sweater.

I put up a few "Back to School" items on the mantel.

I am working on a back to school bunting....more on that to come.

Before we know it, Halloween will be here!

Thanksgiving 2012

I just wanted to post a few pictures from Thanksgiving 2012.  We had dinner this year at our house,
with Bryan's family.  Everyone else brought so much food, I felt like I barely had to cook!
(We missed you Drews!)

.

I got the cute FREE Thanksgiving printables from the TomKat Studio.  HERE.

Only one of the guests in the next two pictures was actually asleep.  Can you guess who?

We have so much to be thankful for this year.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
